Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy:

  • Demo / Enquiry Data: Up to 2 years from the date of your last interaction with us, unless you request earlier deletion.
  • Server Logs & Usage Data: Up to 90 days, after which they are anonymised or deleted.
  • Legal / Compliance Records: As required by applicable Indian law (typically 7 years for accounting records).

When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

How to Delete Your Account / Data

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data held by Edvieye at any time. Follow the steps below:

Email us at info@edvieye.com with the subject line: "Account / Data Deletion Request". Include your full name, email address, and phone number so we can locate your records.

We may ask you to confirm your identity to prevent unauthorised deletion requests. This is typically done by verifying the email address or phone number associated with your data.

We process your request
We will process your deletion request within 30 days. Your personal data (name, email, phone, organisation) will be permanently deleted from our systems and any third-party processors we have shared it with, except where retention is required by law.

Once deletion is complete, we will send you a confirmation email. If your request cannot be fully fulfilled (e.g., due to a legal retention obligation), we will explain the reason and the data that must be retained.

Note: If you are a school or institution using the Edvieye ERP platform, account deletion for student and staff records is managed by your institution's administrator through the platform dashboard. For platform-level data deletion, please contact your school's designated Edvieye administrator or reach us at info@edvieye.com.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian privacy law, you have the following rights in respect of your personal data:

  • Right of Access: Request confirmation of whether we process your data and obtain a copy.
  • Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data where there is no overriding legal reason for us to continue processing it.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Our website is directed at educational institutions and their authorised representatives (adults). We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18 directly through this website.

Student data processed through the Edvieye ERP platform on behalf of schools is governed by separate Data Processing Agreements with the respective institutions, and not by this policy.
